Festival of The Girl is here!
Girls aged from eight to 12 living across the capital have been invited to attend London’s first ever Festival of the Girl.
A one-day family event packed with workshops, interactive sessions, speakers and live performers.
Launching on Saturday, October 5 in Tower Hamlets, the festival’s ambition is to inspire and educate young girls to create the best version of their future selves.
Finding your future
The eight to 12 age range for girls is a pivotal stage of their development, with many of their adolescent issues starting and the transition period from primary to secondary school.
With increasing societal pressures and the growth of social media, it is so important that girls have the opportunity to explore themselves and the various possibilities for their futures.
Festival of the Girl isn’t the answer to all the above. It is an opportunity for girls to access a range of experiences and workshops that can help them realise the extent of their future potential, and support them through this important stage in their lives.
Learn something new
An impressive lineup of guest speakers from female CEOs to British Army Soldiers, Carnival Queens to lightsaber and martial arts experts, politicians to emerging pop stars. Festival of the Girl will see girls enjoy a unique and inspiring day out.
The event will culminate with all of our attendees writing a manifesto for their future and the future of girls around the world.
We’d love you to be there.
We want our girls to feel inspired, energised and learn something new, most of all we just want them to have fun.
